| Mr Jamil El Jaroudi was CEO of Bank Nizwa SAOG. He has over 40 years of business experience. He stated his gulf experience in the 1970s as a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, in the UAE and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after which he held many senior executive roles with Al Mawarid Group, Saudi Arabia. In 1996, he co-established the Middle East Capital Group in Lebanon, the region’s first merchant bank with a pan-Arab focus. He was CEO at Shamil Bank of Bahrain from October 1999 to June 2002. He holds MBA from the Ivy League school Columbia University in 1977 and a PhD in Finance from Kellogg School, Northwestern University, USA in 1981. He got Bachelor of Business administration from Al-Jâmi'ah Al-Lubnaniya in 1974. He is Board Member at Beirut Islamic University. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Lebanese American University Institute Institute of Family Businesses. Recently, he was nominated on the Governing Council of INCEIF, the Global University of Islamic Finance in Malaysia. |
