Dubai - Mubasher: The CEO of flydubai Ghaith Al Ghaith said on Monday that the company is getting ready to receive eight new airplanes by the end of 2017.
Al Ghaith told reporters on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai that the new Max planes will be delivered between September and December, raising the company’s fleet to a total of 66 planes.
The number of passengers has significantly increased in the last three months, the CEO noted.
When asked about expanding in the Indian market, Al Ghaith ruled out the possibility for this step after reaching the maximum number of seats allowed by both parties.
Regarding the Russian market, the CEO of flydubai indicated that it returned to registering positive number, similar to those seen prior to the fall of the ruble, noting that Dubai is attracting more Russian visitors after changing visa rules, and allowing it on arrival.
