du stock falls on lower Q2 profits

Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai-listed du’s stock fell in Sunday’s mid-session, following the announcement of negative Q2-16 financials.

The stock lost 2.9% to AED 6.7 by 12:10pm UAE time, generating AED 7.9 million from the exchange of 1.17 million shares through 54 transactions.

Net profits reached AED 445.4 million Q2-16, down 11.3% from AED 502 million in the year-earlier period. In H1-16, profits fell 6.4% to AED 925.53 million from AED 989.11 million in H1-15.

The general index of Dubai bourse lost 0.64% or 22.60 points to reach 3,496.67 points, generating AED 98.128 million from the exchange of 59.37 million shares.
