Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Co (du) reported a rise of 0.3% in profits during the second quarter of 2017 compared to the same period a year ago.
Earnings increased to AED 446.57 million ($121.55 million) in Q2-17 from AED 445.44 million ($121.24 million) in Q2-16, according to a bourse statement issued on Tuesday.
du’s revenues grew by 6.2% to AED 3.26 billion in Q2-17 from AED 3.06 billion in Q2-16.
Financing expenses declined by 24.3% to total AED 23.98 million in Q2-17 from AED 31.66 million in Q2-16, the statement added.
During the first six months of 2017, du posted a decline of 12.3% in net profits to AED 811.51 million from AED 925.52 million in the same period a year ago.
During Q1-17, the company’s profits registered a year-on-year drop of 24% in profits to AED 364.9 million.
