Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: Yahsat Government Solutions (YGS), the government division of Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), has signed an agreement to equip the vehicular systems of EDGE Group's entity, NIMR, with interoperable satellite connectivity solutions.
Under the agreement, YGS will provide NIMR’s military vehicles with Comms-On-The-Move (COTM) solutions, according to a press release on Monday.
The agreement was reached during the World Defense Show, being held in Riyadh on 6-9 March 2022.
The General Manager of YGS, Eisa Al Shamsi, said: "With our partners and solutions providers, we offer advanced, end-to-end, managed COTM services for complex, land-based and maritime vehicular platforms, backed by around-the-clock maintenance and support to ensure superlative performance, reliability, and security."
Meanwhile, the CEO of NIMR, Abri du Plessis, commented: "This strategic partnership reflects our commitment to employ the latest technologies that ensure our customers excel on the field."
