UAE – Mubasher: Visa, a global e-payment firm, has announced Salima Gutieva as its Vice President and Country Manager in the UAE, according to a press release.
Gutieva succeeded Shahebaz Khan, who was appointed as the company’s Senior Vice President as well as Head of New Payment Flows for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA).
In her new role, the new official will enable clients and government partners in the UAE to meet the growing demand for digital payments. Gutieva has been working with Visa for 16 years, as she held different business development positions, including the Head of Sales in Russia.
Saeeda Jaffar, Visa's Senior Vice President and Group Country Manager for the GCC, said: “[Gutieva] brings her extensive industry experience and strong expertise to the region at a time of great opportunity in the payments, commerce, and money movement.”
Jaffar added: “We are confident that under Salima's leadership, we can further expand the acceptance of seamless, secure digital payments in the UAE, and support the local economy in its digital transformation."
