Cairo - Mubasher: On the 50th day since the central bank of Egypt’s (CBE) decision to float the local currency, the US dollar averaged EGP 19.233 in a sample of 21 banks.
Exchange rates varied between EGP 19.75 to 18.75 per the dollar, with the highest selling price seen at Faisal Islamic Bank and the Egyptian Gulf Bank at EGP 19.75, followed by Piraeus and Misr Iran with EGP 19.6.
On the other hand, the lowest selling price was recorded at the commercial international bank (CIB) at EGP 18.5.
