Mubasher: Data by the American Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed an unexpected increase in US crude oil inventories the last week.
US crude oil inventories increased by around 2.256 million barrels, against an increase of 2.56 million barrels in the week before.
Analysts had expected US stockpiles to rise by 2.515 million barrels.
On Tuesday, data by the American Petroleum Institute (API) showed a 4.15 million-barrel decrease in inventories.
