Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) on Wednesday announced that the country’s non-oil exports to the UAE edged up 0.8% in the first quarter of 2017, compared to the year-ago period.
Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports to the UAE stood at SAR 6.57 billion in Q1-17, compared to SAR 6.52 billion in Q1-16, GASTAT added.
Meanwhile, the kingdom's non-oil exports to China surged 49.9% to reach SAR 5.16 billion in Q1-17, compared to SAR 3.44 billion in the first quarter of 2016.
Saudi imports from the US decreased 3.6% reaching SAR 19.06 billion in Q1-17, from SAR 19.78 billion in the same period in the year earlier.
Year-on-year, the kingdom’s imports from China fell 16.3% to SAR 16.99 billion, from SAR 20.3 billion.
Saudi Arabia's imports from the UAE increased 11.7% to reach SAR 7.92 billion in Q1-17, compared to SAR 7.1 billion in the corresponding period in the year before.
