UAE stock markets end Tuesday on negative note

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have maintained their downward performance by the end of Tuesday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.07% to settle at 2,538.60 points by the end of Tuesday's session.

A total of 127.66 million shares were traded through 2,945 transactions valued at AED 194.59 million.

Emirates Refreshments led the red zone with 9.97%, while Islamic Arab Insurance Co (Salama) came on top of the green zone with 2.24%.

As for the main index, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) decreased by about 1.79% to close Tuesday at 5,583.11 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 880.69 million after 127.66 million shares had been exchanged through 2,968 transactions.

Fujairah Building Industries headed the losing stocks with 9.92%, while Arkan Building Materials topped the rising stocks with 2.35%.
