UAE stock markets end Sunday in green zone

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have witnessed an upward performance by the end of Sunday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 1.85% or 48.64 points to settle at 2,674.30 points by the end of Sunday's session.

A total of 452.53 million shares were traded through 6,268 transactions valued at AED 545.30 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 1.83 billion to AED 354.78 billion, compared to AED 352.95 billion during the previous session.

Emirates Refreshments Co headed the rising stocks with 14.88%, while Emirates Islamic Bank (EIB) came on top of the losing stocks with 5%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index went up by around 0.24% to close Sunday at 5,176.10 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 541.82 million after 169.13 million shares had been exchanged through 3,691 transactions.

The market cap value increased by AED 3.57 billion to AED 742.77 billion, compared to AED 739.20 billion.

RAK Ceramics (RAKCEC) topped the green zone with 5.26%, while Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar) led the red zone with 5%.
