UAE stock markets end Monday in green zone

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have closed Monday's trading session in the green zone.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up 0.02% to settle at 2,787.68 points by the end of Monday's session.

A total of 225.12 million shares were traded through 5,661 transactions valued at AED 336.4 million.

Emirates Refreshments led the rising stocks with 3.87%, while Dubai National Insurance and Reinsurance (DNIR) topped the losing stocks with 6.67%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index rose by 1.05% to end Monday's session at 6,614 points for the first time in its history.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.8 billion after 291.73 million shares had been traded through 4,993 transactions.

Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials (BILDCO) came on top of the green zone with 14.78%, while Fujairah Cement Industries Co (FCI) headed the red zone with 10%.
