UAE stock markets close Wednesday in red zone

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) lost 9.03 points (0.22%) on Wednesday and ended the trading session lower at 3,969.17 points.

DFM's turnover reached AED 229.87 million through the exchange of 92.14 million shares.

Emaar Properties recorded the highest turnover of AED 40.37 million, while Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was the most active stock with 14.14 million shares.

Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) advanced the risers with 1.69%, whereas Shuaa Capital was the top decliner with 9.80%.

The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) also dropped by 0.41% to 9,481.07 points.

A total of 224.47 million shares were traded at an amount of AED 1.03 billion, whereas the market cap value hit AED 2.85 trillion.

International Holding Company (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 215.99 million, while Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) dominated trading volume with 25.44 million shares.

Insurance House topped the gainers with 14.90%, while Ras Al Khaimah Company for White Cement and Construction Materials (RAK White Cement) led the fallers with 9.40%.
