UAE stock markets close Wednesday in red zone

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Wednesday's trading session in the red zone.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.42% or 11.62 points to close Wednesday's session at 2,712.51 points.

A total of 130.91 million shares were traded through 2,482 transactions valued at AED 210.96 million.

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) led the red zone with 4.83%, while Dubai Insurance Company topped the green zone with 15%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down by around 0.41% to settle at 5,674.67 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 545.8 million after 171.61 million shares had been exchanged through 3,686 transactions.

Manazel came on top of the losing stocks with 4.9%, while Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Co (SCIDC) headed the rising stocks with 8.82%.
