UAE stock markets close Thursday on varied note

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets ended Thursday’s trading session on a mixed note.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) fell by 8.64 points (0.25%) to close the trading session down at 3,385.60 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 336.67 million through the trading of 190.31 million shares.

Deyaar Development topped the rising companies with 3.92%, while Takaful Emarat – Insurance Company led the losers with 10%.

Emaar Properties generated the highest turnover of AED 79.95 million, while Union Properties was the most active stock on which 38.25 million shares were exchanged.

On the other hand, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went up by 1.039% to close at 10,345.78 points.

A total of 292.92 million shares were traded at a value of AED 1.36 billion. The market cap stood at AED 2.14 trillion.

Ras Al Khaimah Poultry and Feeding Company (RAK Poultry) headed the fallers with 10%.

Eshraq Investments was the top riser with 15%, in addition to being the most active stock on which 52.96 million shares were exchanged.

Meanwhile, International Holding Group (IHC) posted the highest trading value of AED 388.23 million.
