UAE stock markets close Thursday lower

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Thursday’s trading session down at 3,414.61 points after losing 28.50 points (0.82%).

The trading value stood at AED 426.15 million through the exchange of 127.27 million shares.

Al Salam Bank – Sudan advanced the gainers with 0.86%, while Emirates Refreshments headed the decliners with 6.90%.

Emaar Properties was the most active stock in terms of the trading volume and value with 36.41 million shares exchanged at AED 228.75 million.

The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) also closed the session lower by 1.629% at 9,712.89 points.

A total of 188.59 million shares were traded at a value of AED 1.31 billion. Meanwhile, the market cap reached AED 2.06 trillion.

Fujairah Cement Industries Company led the risers with 11.40%, whereas Commercial Bank International (CBI) was the top faller with 9.90%.

International Holding Company (IHC) posted the highest turnover of AED 284.48 million, while Multiply Group was the most active stock on which 43.90 million shares were exchanged.
