UAE stock markets close Thursday in red zone

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have witnessed a downward performance by the end of Thursday's trading session.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.53% to close Thursday at 2,824 points.

A total of 146.937 million shares were traded through 2,392 transactions valued at AED 153.254 million.

Takaful Emarat – Insurance Co led the losing stocks with 8.39%, while National General Insurance Co came on top of the rising stocks with 1.67%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched down 0.3% to close Thursday's trading session at 6,606 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.292 billion after 141.6 million shares had been traded through 3,790 transactions.

Fujairah Cement Industries headed the red zone with 9.98%, while Ras Al Khaimah National Insurance Company came on top of the green zone with 14.38%.
