UAE stock markets close Sunday in green zone

UAE - Mubasher: The UAE stock markets have ended Sunday's trading session in the green zone.

The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 1.3% to settle at 2,786.89 points by the end of Sunday's trading session.

A total of 279.47 million shares were traded through 4,716 transactions valued at AED 385.94 million.

Al Salam Bank - Sudan led the rising stocks with 7.36%, while Oman Insurance Co (OIC) came on top of the losing stocks with 9.72%.

As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up 0.43% to end Sunday at 6,546 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 1.477 billion after 220 million shares had been traded through 3,239 transactions.

Ras Al Khaimah Co. for White Cement and Construction Materials topped the green zone with 14.94%, while National Takaful Co (Watania) headed the red zone with 10%.
