UAE stock markets close Sunday higher

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) gained 5.21 points (0.16%) to close Sunday’s session at 3,231.47 points.

The turnover stood at AED 324.12 million after 244.78 million shares were traded, compared to AED 423.35 million and 296.72 million shares in the previous session.

Orascom Construction was the top riser with 10%, while Al Salam Group Holding led the fallers with 9.09%.

GFH was the most active stock in terms of the trading volume and value, with 50.34 million traded shares generating AED 62.42 million.

Similarly, the benchmark index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rose by 0.99% to 8,971.38 points.

The trading value totalled AED 1.55 billion after 231.84 million shares were exchanged, compared to AED 2.01 billion and 277.71 million shares on Thursday. ADX’s market cap amounted to AED 1.7 trillion.

Abu Dhabi National Hotels advanced the risers with 14.81%, while Reem Investments led the fallers with 9.92%.

International Holding Company recorded the highest turnover of AED 313.82 million, while Multiply Group was the most active stock in terms of the volume with 54.58 million traded shares.
