UAE stock markets close Monday in red zone

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Monday’s trading session down at 3,436.43 points after losing 26.46 points (0.76%).

The trading value stood at AED 323.22 million through the exchange of 144.15 million shares.

Ithmaar Holding advanced the risers with 14.67%, while National Industries Group Holding (NIND) was the top faller with 10%.

Emaar Properties was the most active stock in terms of the trading volume and value with 20.82 million shares exchanged at AED 126.68 million.

Similarly, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) retreated by 1.242% to close at 9,972.08 points.

A total of 226.26 million shares were traded at a value of AED 1.34 billion. The market cap amounted to AED 2.09 trillion.

Q Holding topped the gainers with 9.30%, whereas Methaq Takaful Insurance Company headed the decliners with 5.83%.

International Holding Company (IHC) generated the highest turnover of AED 314.32 million, while Multiply Group was the most active stock on which 60.66 million shares were exchanged.
