UAE - Mubasher: The UAE has raised its holdings of US treasury bonds by 39% year-on-year (YoY) to around $44.8 billion in December 2021, compared to $32.2 billion.
At the Arab level, Saudi Arabia has led the holders of the US debt instruments with $119 billion, up $2.5 billion when compared to November 2021.
Globally, Japan topped the holders of the US treasury bonds with $1.304 trillion, followed by China with $1.069 trillion and the UK with $647.4 billion.
