UAE – Mubasher: The UAE’s gold reserves increased by 2.5% month-on-month, or AED 29 million, to AED 1.14 billion at the end of March, a report released by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) on Wednesday.
The CBUAE’s gold reserves grew by AED 9 billion this year to the end of March, compared to AED 1.13 billion in December 2018.
In April 2015, the Central Bank of the UAE decided to resume forming gold reserves and reporting their data on a monthly basis for the first time in eight years, after reserves ran out in the second half of 2007.
