UAE - Mubasher: Global Medical Solutions International (GMSI), the healthcare management company of the UAE-based Yas Holding, has entered into a strategic partnership to manage and operate Al-Azhar University Specialised Hospital.
The concession agreement between GMSI and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif University in Egypt is the first-of-its-kind public-private partnership (PPP) in Egypt’s healthcare sector, according to a press release on Tuesday.
Under the agreement, GMSI will offer international practices to enhance service delivery, healthcare information, and data management systems.
The Group CEO at Yas Holding, Murshed Al Redaini, said: "This agreement, encompassing the delivery of world-class hospital operations combined with advanced healthcare consultancy solutions, complements the efforts of the Egyptian government to transform the healthcare sector's infrastructure whilst elevating patient care."
Meanwhile, the Vice President of Al-Azhar University and General Supervisor of Hospitals, Mahmoud Seddik, commented: "Our partnership with Yas Holding will deliver excellence in healthcare services across a critical range of key services for the Egyptian community."
