UAE's Mubadala acquires 2.6% stake in EN+

UAE - Mubasher: Mubadala Investment Company has acquired a 2.6% stake in EN+, a low-carbon aluminium production and renewables company, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The acquired stake equates to 16.641 million of EN+ ordinary shares; hence, Mubadala’s total share ownership in EN+ has raised to 2.86% on a fully diluted basis.

The company is listed on the Moscow Stock Exchange, while its GDRs are tradeable on the London Stock Exchange.

The Head of Mubadala’s Russia and CIS Investment Programme, Faris Sohail Al Mazrui, said: "EN+ has made significant progress in recent years, and is well-positioned to generate sustainable value for stakeholders."

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of the En+ Group, Lord Barker of Battle, commented: "Mubadala, which is committed to investments with positive and lasting impact, provides a further vote of confidence in the Group’s ambitious strategy to lead our sector into the low-carbon economy."
