UAE - Mubasher: The UAE was ranked fifth in the Entrepreneurship Index 2021, compiled by CEOWORLD magazine.
The index evaluates 100 economies which collectively represent 95% of global gross domestic product (GDP), by assessing several factors including innovation, competitiveness, infrastructure, labor skills, access to capital, and openness for business.
The overall score of the UAE in the index stood at 31.01.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia occupied the fifteenth position, followed by South Korea, Canada, and the Philippines.
It is noteworthy to mention that the UAE ranked first in the Arab world in the Human Development Report 2020 issued by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), advancing by four positions from the 2019 report.
