UAE - Mubasher: The UAE was ranked among the world's top 20 countries in five indices related to the competitiveness of the tourism and travel sectors, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
The UAE has globally occupied the first position in terms of the presence of the largest car rental companies, sixth in the sustainability and development index, and seventh in the quality of tourism infrastructure index, according to the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report.
The country was ranked eighth in the world in marketing effectiveness to attract tourists.
Meanwhile, the World Competitiveness Yearbook placed the UAE in the 17th position in the tourism revenue index.
It is noteworthy to mention that during the third quarter (Q3) of 2020, the UAE's tourism and hotel sectors grew by 158.3%, compared to the second quarter (Q2) of the same year.
