Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The UAE's Federal Customs Authority (FCA) revealed Saturday that the direct non-oil foreign trade of the country recorded AED 269.5 billion ($73.4 billion) during the first quarter of 2016.
In Q1-16, the value of UAE's imports reached AED 166.1 billion, while the exports AED 46.8 and the re-exports AED 56.6, according to FCA statement.
In terms of weight, the total volume of UAE's non-oil trade recorded 48.4 million tonnes during the aforementioned period.
The UAE non-oil trade with GCC countries during Q1-16 totalled 9% or AED 24.2 billion of the country's total non-oil trade with the world.
Saudi Arabia topped the GCC countries regarding the trade value with a share of AED 8.7 billion, followed by Oman with AED 6.4 billion, then Qatar with AED 4.2 billon, Bahrain with AED 2.5 billion and Kuwait with AED 2.4 billion, said FCA.
UAE's non-oil trade with Arab countries recorded AED 43.7 billion or 16% of the country's total non-oil trade with the world.
