UAE leads globally 20 development indicators

UAE – Mubasher: The UAE has topped the world in 20 development indicators in the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2021, released by Switzerland's International Institute for Management Development.

This announcement was made by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, on his official Twitter account on Thursday.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said that the UAE has advanced in 120 global indicators despite the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and was placed among the top ten countries in competitiveness.

Meanwhile, the country has globally occupied the first position in the government’s ability to adapt to changes. 

The IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook (WCY) is a comprehensive annual report that focuses on the competitiveness of 64 economies by analysing and ranking the countries according to how they manage their competencies to achieve long-term value creation, according to the IMD World Competitiveness Centre's official website.
