UAE - Mubasher: Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has launched 'Operation 300bn', a national industrial strategy.
This strategy aims to increase the industrial sector’s contribution from AED 133 billion to AED 300 billion by 2031, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid announced on his official Twitter account on Monday.
To be led by the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the strategy will also support the establishment of 13,500 industrial companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the upcoming years.
Meanwhile, the UAE will raise expenditure on research and development (R&D) in the industrial sector from AED 21 billion to AED 57 billion through the national strategy.
In addition, the Ruler of Dubai has introduced 'Make It In The Emirates', the UAE's industrial identity to support domestic products and promote the sector globally.
