UAE issues decree to appoint first CEO woman at SCA

UAE - Mubasher: Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President, has issued a federal decree to appoint Maryam Buti Al Suwaidi, as the CEO of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) at the grade of under-secretary, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

With a long experience in the field of capital markets, Maryam Al Suwaidi is the first woman to assume this role in the history of the SCA.

Al Suwaidi holds a doctorate in law From the University of Leeds in the UK and a master’s degree in Commercial Law from the University of Wales.
