UAE forecast to record 1.3% GDP growth in 2021 - IMF

UAE - Mubasher: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projected a 1.3% growth in the UAE's real gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021, according to the IMF's report entitled "Economic Prospects and Policy Challenges for the GCC Countries".

The UAE's current account balance is forecast to increase to 7.5% in 2021, compared to 3.6% in 2020.

Meanwhile, the country's consumer price inflation is predicted to register 1.5% next year.

The report referred that the UAE's announced plans for fiscal adjustment in the coming years will continue for a long time to contain medium-term fiscal pressures.

It is noteworthy to mention that the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) expected a 3.6% growth in the UAE's non-oil GDP by the end of 2021.
