Mubasher: The UAE has dominated Forbes Middle East's list of the region’s top travel and tourism leaders with 24 of the 50 executives.
The Chairman and CEO of the Emirates Group, Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, has led the ranking, followed by the Group CEO and Executive Board Member of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker, and the CEO of Dubai Airports, Paul Griffiths, according to a recent press release.
Forbes Middle East's list comprises nine countries in the region, with 26 entries representing the hotels and hospitality sector, 17 in the aviation sector, and seven entries in tourism.
Saudi Arabia was placed second in the region with 11 featured executives, followed by Egypt with four.
To select the region's 50 top travel and tourism leaders, Forbes Middle East focuses on the size of the business and ownership of assets, as well as the experience, designation, and achievements of the business leader.
