UAE-Mubasher: The United Arab Emirates now accounts for 19% of total rooms and hotel projects under construction in the region, according to a recent report issued by STR Global.
The report added that more than 967 new rooms were added in UAE market last November.
Dubai witnessed 618 rooms and new hotel apartments enter the hospitality sector.
Sharjah saw 349 new hotel rooms added, including the launch of Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, in line with the country’s plan to increase capacity by 2020.
