UAE bourses likely to rebound on Emaar Malls’ H1 results – Analysts

Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE stock markets are expected to rebound on Monday, if they manage to absorb Emaar Malls’ results and profit-taking, analysts told Mubasher.

Liquidity was still weak on Sunday and last week, reflecting that the markets need new catalysts to push traders towards making more purchases, according to Eyad Al Bouriki, general manager of Al Ansari Financial Services.

Emaar Malls’ good results for the first half of 2017 may lead the markets to see a positive performance, Al Bouriki noted.

Emaar Malls posted profits of AED 1.01 billion in H1-17, up 3% from AED 987 million in H1-16.

Awaited results from Emaar Properties and Arabtec Holding should support investors’ sentiment in the coming period, Al Bouriki added.

Caution still controls trades as some companies did not announce their H1-17 financials yet, capital market analyst Mohamed Al Azmi noted.
