UAE - Mubasher: The loans granted by the UAE banks increased by 2.4% to AED 1.779 trillion in January 2021 from AED 1.736 trillion in the same month of 2019.
The credit facilities provided to the private sector reached AED 1.11 trillion in January 2021, down 2.4% from AED 1.137 trillion in the year-ago period, according to the latest statistics by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).
The loans granted to the UAE's public sector jumped by 12% to AED 257 billion in the first month of 2021 from AED 183.1 billion in the corresponding month of 2019.
