UAE – Mubasher: The banks operating in the UAE have injected AED 507.3 billion in new investments in March 2021, up 34.3% from AED 377.6 billion in the same month of 2020, according to the latest data by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).
The UAE banks have invested AED 294.1 billion in debt securities in March 2021, compared to AED 228.2 billion in March 2020.
Meanwhile, the UAE banks' investments in equities increased by 5.5% to AED 9.6 billion in March from AED 9.1 billion in the year-ago period.
The UAE banks recorded AED 159.3 billion investments in held to maturity securities in March, 75.4% higher than AED 90.8 billion in the corresponding period of 2020.
