UAE – Mubasher: The UAE will invest $10 billion in Indonesia with Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, Indonesia Investment Authority, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
The investments aim to support strategic sectors in Indonesia, including infrastructure, roads, ports, tourism, agriculture, as well as promising sectors that can contribute to economic growth.
This step is in line with the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Last month, the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, announced the members of the Indonesia Investment Authority’s board of supervisors and board of directors.
