Riyadh – Mubasher: The UAE acquired around 69.3% of Saudi Arabia’s trade exchange with the GCC in August, with SAR 4.61 billion ($1.23 billion), the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) reported.
Non-oil merchandise trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and the GCC nations tumbled 3.2% year-on-year in August, reaching SAR 6.65 billion ($1.77 billion), compared to SAR 6.87 billion ($1.83 billion), the GASTAT added.
This decrease was attributed to a 7.8% drop in Saudi non-oil merchandise exports, registering SAR 2.42 billion in August, from SAR 2.63 billion in the same month a year earlier.
On the other hand, Saudi imports from the GCC nations shed 0.4% year-on-year to SAR 4.23 billion during August, compared to SAR 4.25 billion.
