Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Bilateral trade between the UAE and South Africa reached AED 11.75 billion ($3.2 billion) in 2017, up 26% from 2016 figures.
South Africa is keen on deepening its economic relations with the UAE, as well as developing new mutual cooperative programmes, African National Congress’s (ANC) Treasurer General Paul Mashatile stated.
We have cooperation plans in the sectors of mining, renewable energy, and telecommunications, Mashatile added.
The UAE and South Africa enjoy various possibilities and capabilities to develop their relationship, especially in trade, UAE’s undersecretary for foreign trade and industry at the Ministry of Economy Abdulla Ahmed Saleh said.
