Cairo – Egypt: The monthly statistics for securities brokerage firms' performance revealed on Tuesday that ten brokerage firms acquired 54% of the Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) total turnover in July, according the bourse's monthly bulletin for July 2017.
The total value traded of the ten leading brokerages reached about EGP 19.12 billion, out of the total turnover of EGP 35.38 billion in July 2017, including value traded in the main market, over-the-counter (OTC), and the Nile Index (NILEX).
The Commercial International Brokerage Company (CIBC) was the top gainer among brokerages with EGP 3.48 billion, followed by Financial Brokerage Group at 3.19 billion, Hermes Securities Brokerage at EGP 2.97 billion, and Pioneers Securities, Pharos Securities, and Beltone Securities Brokerage at EGP 1.8 billion, EGP 1.7 billon, and 1. 6 billion, respectively.
Mubasher International for Securities ranked seventh among the top ten brokerage firms in terms of value traded in July 2017 at EGP 1.26 billion, followed by Naeem Brokerage, Sigma Securities Brokerage, and Arabeya Online Securities at EGP 1.15 billion, EGP 1.08 billion, and EGP 804.3 million, respectively.
