Tadawul rises for 2nd session in row on Monday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The benchmark index (TASI) of the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday higher by 50.8 points (0.46%) at 11,019.86 points, rising for the second consecutive session.

The trading value amounted to SAR 8.87 billion through the exchange of 232.27 million shares, compared to SAR 19.04 billion and 305.57 million shares on Sunday.

The pharma sector was the top gainer with 3.26%, while the transportation segment led four decliners with 0.3%.

Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance headed the risers with 10%, while Batic Investments and Logistics led the fallers with 3.17%.

Dar Al Arkan generated the highest trading volume of 16.42 million shares, while the Saudi Telecom Company (stc) recorded the highest turnover for the second day in a row at SAR 602.53 million.

Similarly, Nomu-Parallel Market Capped Index (NomuC) rose by 159.48 points (0.66%) to 24,146.34 points.

Riyadh Cement was the top riser with 2.76%, while Natural Gas Distribution headed the fallers with 2.88%.
