Tadawul falls below 7,000 pts early Sunday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) commenced Sunday’s trades in the red, falling 0.24% or 16.85 points to 6,999.81 points.

By 10:53am Saudi time, turnover reached SAR 872.97 million after 49.2 million shares changed hands.

Sectors suffered a semi-collective decline of 3.7% led by REITs, while other major sectors, such as basic industries and banks, lost 0.2% and 0.41%, respectively.

A total of 94 companies’ stocks were down, led by Al Tayyar Group and Al Saqr Insurance with 4% and 3.4%, respectively.

On the positive side, 60 stocks were in the green, led by Axa Cooperative Insurance with 4.1%, while 16 stocks remained unchanged from previous levels.

Meanwhile, the Nomu-Parallel Market grew 0.17% or 10.65 points to 5,994.91 points.

Tadawul last closed Thursday’s trades at a rise of 0.72% or 50.13 points to 7,016.66 points.
