Tadawul ends Sunday in green

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) hiked on Sunday, supported by market sector gains and improved liquidity.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) gained 0.7% or 58.80 points and closed at 8,441.94 points.

Traded volumes increased to 190.67 million shares, compared with 155.85 million shares on Thursday.

Similarly, traded values increased to SAR 4.35 billion, up from SAR 3.48 billion in the previous session.

As for the market major market sectors, materials levelled up by 1.14%, while the banks and energy indices, grew by 0.36% and 0.17%, respectively.

On the other hand, healthcare declined by 0.18%.

Research and Marketing Group led the rising stocks and surged by 9.92%, followed by Lazurde and Umm Al Qura Cement with 9.66% and 8.63%, respectively, while Metlife was the top decliner and dropped 5.13%.

Meanwhile, Aramco was the most actively traded stock with 18.98 million shares and the biggest turnover at roughly SAR 674 million.
