TASI rises, Nomu stable at Wednesday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) opened Wednesday in green territory, after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled up 11.14 points, or 0.15%, to 7,677.94 points.

By 10:35 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 29.43 million shares exchanged through 18,120 transactions at a turnover of SAR 553.18 million.

The food and beverages sector increased 2.4%, followed by the food and staples retailing sector with 2.2%, and the materials sector with 0.4%.

On the other hand, the banking sector fell 0.7%, while the telecommunication services and diversified financials sectors inched down 0.5% and 0.05%, respectively.

The Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock was the best performer with 9.97%, followed by Amana Cooperative Insurance’s stock with 7.97%, whereas The National Commercial Bank’s (NCB) stock decreased 2.1%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu secondary market remained unchanged at 2,313.55 points.
