TASI marks 5th straight high, Nomu rises slightly Monday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Monday in the green for the fifth consecutive session after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) gained 0.19% or 14.83 points to finish at 7,857.46 points.

TASI’s traded volume reached 173.6 million shares on Monday, against 187.37 million on Sunday, while liquidity decreased to SAR 4.17 billion ($1.11 billion), from SAR 4.43 billion ($1.18 billion).

The pharmaceuticals sector increased 1.63%, followed by materials with 0.93%, and telecommunication services with 0.93%.

On the negative side, the real estate investment traded funds (REITs) sector declined 1.24%, while banks edged down 0.32%.

Dur Hospitality Company’s stock was the bourse’s best performer after adding 5.08% to hit SAR 21.70, whereas Wafrah for Industry and Development’s stock tumbled 9.64%, to close at SAR 17.52.

In the meantime, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, edged up 0.01% or 0.17 points, to 2,986.4 points.

Abo Moati for Bookstores’ stock was Nomu's best performer after increasing 3.83% to close Monday at SAR 12.46, whereas the stock of Raydan Co fell 2.16%, to SAR 14.50.
