TASI falls, Nomu grows at Monday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Monday in the red, after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index retreated 28 points, or 0.36%, reaching 7,865.57 points.

By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume reached 16.16 million shares, through 14,260 transactions, generating SAR 375.65 million.

The food and beverages sector fell 1.01%, followed by energy with 0.77%, materials with 0.75%, and banks with 0.18%.

On the other hand, the consumer durables and apparel sector rose 0.69%, while telecommunication services sector inched up 0.02%.

The National Agricultural Development Company’s (NADEC) stock led losers after decreasing 2.56%, whereas Al Abdullatif Industrial Investment Company’s stock was the best performer, growing 3.06%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, levelled up 5.3 points, or 0.21%, to 2,474.27 points.

Baazeem Trading and Al-Omran Industrial Trading stocks’ grew 1.57% and 1.54%, respectively.
