TASI ends Tuesday in green; turnover hits SAR 15bn

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange’s (Tadawul) Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note for the sixth session in a row.

The benchmark TASI rose by 0.44% or 46.19 points to close at 10,597.42 points.

The trading value registered SAR 15.15 billion after trading 499.937 million shares on Tuesday, compared to SAR 13.4 billion after the exchange of 464.2 million shares on Monday.

The media and entertainment sector topped the gainers with 8.80% as Saudi Research and Media Group jumped by 9.9%.

Meanwhile, the telecommunications and banks sectors rose by 2.46% and 0.46%, respectively, and the energy sector increased by 0.31%.

The basic materials sector fell by 0.05%.

National Gas and Industrialization Co (GASCO) headed the risers with 9.94%, followed by Saudi Research and Media Group with 9.9% and Saudi Public Transport Co (SAPTCO) with 7.54%.

On the other hand, Al Gassim Investment Holding Co (GACO) led the decliners and slid by 3.91%, while Nama Chemicals Co and Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co dropped by 3.48% and 3.11%, respectively.

Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development Co registered the largest trading volume of 45.66 million shares, whereas Saudi Advanced Industries Co topped the market with a turnover of SAR 1.112 billion.

Meanwhile, the Nomu-Parallel Market Capped Index (NomuC) rose by 405.23 points or 1.72% to close at 23,925.19 points.

Fesh Fash Food Factory Co was NomuC’s best performer with 9.66%, while Watani Iron Steel was the sole decliner by 1.06%.
