TASI ends Thursday in red amid lower turnover

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange's (Tadawul) main index ended Thursday’s trading session in the red territory, breaking a two-session rising streak.

The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell by 18 points or 0.21% to stand at 8,702.68 points.

The market’s turnover retreated to SAR 9.78 billion after 365.2 million shares were exchanged on Thursday, compared to a turnover of SAR 11.47 billion with a trading volume of 367.3 million in the previous session.

The consumer durables sector led the losers and slid by 3.11%, while the energy sector topped the risers after advancing by 0.22%.

Naseej International Trading Co headed the falling stocks with 9.85%, whereas the Ash-Sharqiyah Development Co led the gainers and increased by 6.92%.

On the other hand, the Nomu-Parallel Market Capped Index (NomuC) rose by 1.29% or 271.33 points to close at 21,356.96 points.

Sumou Real Estate Co was Nomu’s best performer as it advanced by 7.47%, while Development Works Food Co was the worst performer after declining by 0.4%.
