Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Tuesday with a negative performance after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 2.58 points, or 0.03%, to 7,844.93 points.
By 10:46 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume hit 31.49 million shares exchanged through 24,970 transactions, generating a turnover of SAR 642.83 million.
The telecommunication services sector decreased 1.3%, followed the food and staples retailing sector with 1%.
The banking and materials sectors dipped 0.11% and 0.09%, respectively.
On the other hand, the consumer services sector increased 2.6%, while the media sector rose 1.9%.
The Saudi Industrial Export Company’s (SIEC) stock was the worst performer with 3.9%, whereas Saudi Fisheries Company’s (Alasmak) stock was the best performer with 7.7%.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu secondary market, remained unchanged at 2,559.30 points.
