TASI drops 33 pts, Nomu hits 9M high at Sunday’s close

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Sunday’s trading session in the red after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 33.24 points, or 0.39%, to 8,526.71 points.

TASI’s liquidity declined to SAR 2.388 billion, from SAR 3.227 billion on Thursday, while trading volume dropped to 109.55 million shares, against 149.82 million in the session before.

The utilities, materials, telecommunication services, and banking sectors levelled down 2.34%, 0.48%, 0.46%, and 0.4%, respectively.

On the other hand, the transportation sector increased 1.2%.

Saudi Steel Pipe Company’s (SSP) stock led the main market's gainers after jumping 9.84% to SAR 26.8, while Savola Group’s stock was the worst performer after losing 4.42%, to SAR 32.4.

The Saudi Basic Industries Corp.’s (SABIC) stock led TASI in terms of trading value after generating SAR 236.95 million, followed by Al Rajhi Bank’s stock with SAR 183.07 million, Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Company’s stock generated the highest traded volume with 159.79 million shares.

In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu secondary market, NOMU, surged 112.58 points, or 3.68%, to end the first session of the week at 3,168.87 points, registering its highest level in nine months, or since 3 May 2018.
